■ Prevention of Life Style Related Diseases 

People from around age 40 begin to suffer from high blood pressure, strokes, cancer, and heart disease and so on, commonly known as Life Style Related Diseases (Seikatsu Shukan Byo). Matsudo City provides a variety of medical checkups for residents.
The time and place for each checkup are announced in the Koho Matsudo (in Japanese). 
Locations for checkups are medical institutions commissioned by Matsudo City , Health Welfare Center and the Community Center.

■ Issuance of the Health Notebook

Matsudo City gives health notebooks to residents aged 40 and older who want to have the notebooks and others who received this city-sponsored medical checkup service. These health notebooks are designed for your individual health record.

■ Checkups (There is a Fee)

　

Provided for residents aged 40 and older, basic checkups include health questions, general observation, blood pressure check, urinalysis, and blood test. Furthermore, an electrocardiogram, glycohemoglobin, and cerebral hemorrhage examinations are provided, if a doctor recognizes their necessity.

■ Cancer Checkup (There is a Fee)

　

(1)Lung Cancer Checkup *Tuberculosis Checkups for Residents	Checkups in groups are offered to residents aged 20 and older.   Individual checkups are offered to residents aged 40 and older.   A sputum test is also provided if a doctor recognizes its necessity
(2)Uterine Cancer Checkup	Provided to female residents aged 20 and older.
(3)Breast Cancer Checkup	Provided to female residents aged 30 and older.
(4)Stomach Cancer Checkup	Provided to residents aged 40 and older
(5)Large Intestine Cancer    Checkup	Provided to residents aged 40 and older

■ Health Checkups for Women (There is a Fee)

Checkups for women are provided to residents aged 35 to 39. Examinations include health questions, general observation, blood pressure, urinalysis, and blood test.

■ Dental Checkup for Adults (Free of Charge)

■ Residents Health Consultation Offices (Shimin Kenko Sodan Shitsu)

There are nine health consultation offices for Matsudo residents of all ages.
Hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Bring your Alien Registration Card and National Health Insurance Certificate if you have one.

■ Matsudo Health & Welfare Center (Matsudo Kenko Fukushi Center (Matsudo Hoken Jo))

The public health center plays a central role in ensuring the healthy life of Matsudo residents. 
It provides an extensive range of services from health consultations to prevention of communicable and other diseases, supervision of food and living environment sanitation.
*Health Checkups are NOT available at the Health Center.
